2010 International Design Competition for
Youth Facility

1. Introduction

○ Theme: Space for Youth

○ Facility types: Unrestricted
     (architecture,
Interior design, landscape, urban design, square, street, park etc)

○ Design Scope
● Strong space program for youth based on the local culture
and needs
● Space design that represents various aspects of youth and its
related programs

○ Site
● Free selection
● A pre-selected site for Youth facility in
your local area

○ Design Method of the Competition
A. Present a new kind of space for
teenagers
B. A youth facility that meets the needs of teenagers
C. An
envisioning facility focused on the specific age group
D. A realistic theme
that blends in with its surroundings.

○ Eligibility
Applicant in Korea and Other countries who meets at least 1
criteria below.
1. Students who are currently registered in undergraduate and
graduate school and who stay out of school temporarily included
2. Applicants
who graduated undergraduate or graduate school within 1 year
3. Youth under
the age of 24

  * The number of team members cannot exceed 3 people.

○ Design Criteria (Evaluation)

-1st screening
Presentation panel (size: 450*600) including the model
photos.

-2nd screening
Only works that passed the first screening proceeds for the
second screening.
Final candidates will be announced online.

-Final screening
All final candidates must give a presentation on the
awarding day.

A. Gold prize (1 team): KRW 5,000,000 (prearranged: the Minister of Gender
Equality and Family award)
B. Silver prize(2 team): KRW 2,000,000

D. Special selection(20 teams or so):

B. 1st stage: Panel - size : 450mm x 600mm, Puts on 5mm

*Scaled-model photos must be presented on a

*Scaled-model photos can not be replaced by 3D images

C. 2nd stage (Only works that passed the first screening
stage):
3-dimensional exhibition kiosk: Scaled-models and drawings can be
attached on the self-standing kiosk (Max. size: 600 x 600 x 1800mm)
*Foreign
participants should present the scaled-model photos in the 750 x 1500mm
presentation panel (submit a electronic file, required to pay for digital print)

-CD 1copy (for making collection)
